INSPIRATORY MUSCLE TRAINING IMPROVES 2,000-METER ROWING PERFORMANCE

Respiratory muscles can experience fatigue like any other muscle in the body. High levels of fatigue in the respiratory muscles will redirect oxygen away from the primary working muscles in the rowing stroke. Rowers can train their breathing muscles to mitigate fatigue and improve performance.
